Peter de Gouw (Director)
Pete has been building in Canterbury since 1977 and to this day remains passionate about the industry. Despite keeping a low profile, Home Trends Builders have been awarded a number of Registered Master Builders ‘House of the Year’ awards.
He attributes the success of his medium-sized building company to his dedication to following any job through from start to finish and delivering a quality product on time as promised.
Peter is a Licensed Building Practitioner with both Site 1 and 2 licences and is experienced in running small to large jobs. He also has a NZCB and a NZCHS.
Elaine de Gouw (Administration Support Manager)
Elaine has been associated with Home Trends Builders since 2009 and her background in event co-ordination and client liaison compliment the human resource and public face of the company. Elaine’s thoroughness and efficiency is appreciated by our clients.
Lonnae Harris (Office Manager)
Lonnae has been with the company for over 15 years and efficiently manages all aspects of the busy office. Along with handling debtors, creditors and payroll, she also ensures all Health and Safety requirements are met by the whole team.
Paul Kirk (Site Foreman)
Paul is a Licensed Building Practitioner who has worked for Home Trends for well over 25 years. Paul is very experienced in running both large, multi-unit developments, architectural homes and is also experienced in hillside work. Paul was Project Manager for a Townhouse in Prestons situated by the lake, which was awarded a ‘Silver’ at the Registered Master Builders Canterbury Region 2016 and also a ‘Gold’ in 2017 for a home in Merivale.
Simon Ashdowne (Site Foreman)
Simon is also a Licensed Building Practitioner and has been with Home Trends for over 16 years. He is highly skilled in managing numerous projects, including our EQC repairs, new and architectural homes and group builder homes. Simon was also our Project Manager for a two-storey Townhouse in Merivale which was awarded a ‘Gold’ and ‘Gold Reserve’ at the Canterbury Registered Master Builders House of The Year 2016, and another ‘Gold’ and ‘category winner for local Multi Unit’ in 2017.
Jason Williams (Site Foreman)
Jason has recently joined the HTB team bringing with him 8 years of building experience. Having completed his apprenticeship in North Canterbury, Jason has done extensive work on house alterations & renovations, new architectural builds and EQC rebuilds.
Marc Anderson (Site Foreman)
Marc is the newest member to join our HTB team bringing with him over 15 years of building experience. Marc has vast experience in the role of foreman and after the Christchurch Earthquake worked as an EQC estimator and at the Fletcher EQR. Marc is also a Licensed Building Practitioner.
Alan Cresswell (Project Manager)
Alan is a Project Manager at Home Trends Builders looking after our over capped Insurance rebuilds and repairs. Alan is a qualified carpenter and has been actively involved in the building industry for over 40 years. Alan has vast experience dealing with Insurance companies, engineers and home owners.
Terrie Cresswell (Project Manager)
Working closely with Alan is Terrie who also looks after our Earthquake Repairs and Rebuilds. Terrie has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years and brings with her valuable project management experience dealing with EQC, Fletchers, Insurance companies, subcontractors and home owners.
